Dans le domaine de la conception de clubs, il est rare que l'on puisse dire qu'une véritable barrière a été franchie. L'Opus Platinum est un véritable bond en avant dans la technologie des wedges, fusionnant les avancées du moulage par injection de métal (MiM) et du tungstène pour le contrôle du lancement. La construction MiM a permis à Callaway de proposer une construction de wedge de précision comme jamais auparavant, afin d'apporter du toucher et des sensations là où les joueurs en ont besoin. Le tungstène a été incorporé dans la ligne du dessus pour un vol plus bas et plus de contrôle et de spin sur les greens.

By using tungsten high in the topline, Callaway are able to give players a shot that will naturally launch lower providing more control and spin into the greens.
